Apie objektyvų požiūrį į savo galvos turinį

“Telling me I can do anything I want is like pulling the plug out of the bath and then telling the water it can go anywhere it wants. Try it, and see what happens.”

“Asking the head I have now to explain its own thinking is as pointless as dialing your own telephone number on your own telephone: Either way, you get an engaged signal. Or your own answer message, if you have that kind of phone system.”

“And it isn’t that I’m so unhappy I don’t want to live anymore. That’s not what it feels like. It feels more like I’m tired and bored and the party’s gone on too long and I want to go home. I feel flat and there doesn’t seem to be anything to look forward to, so I’d rather call it a day.”

“I don’t think you can call it stalking when it’s just phone calls and letters and emails and knocking on the door.”

Apie natūraliąją atranką, rūkalius ir šmutkes

“<…> atėjęs į darbą pamačiau prie lango priklijuotą didžiausią sklebimą:

“Neįleidžiami:

socialistai; lankytojai su mobiliaisiais telefonais; moterys su silikoninėmis krūtimis; sodomistai; lankytojai, pasidarę plastines veido patempimo operacijas; lankytojai, mokantys kredito kortelėmis; velsiečiai; vegetarai; nerūkantieji; pensininkai; abstinentai; lankytojai su elektroninėmis užrašų knygelėmis; žiniasklaidos darbuotojai; “Groucho” klubo nariai; darbininkų klasės atstovai; komikai; neįgalieji; lesbietės; akli šunys; storuliai; Liverpulio gyventojai; vaikai; jogurto valgytojai; lankytojai su dizainerių sukurtomis rankinėmis; krikščionys; belgai; pasipūtę smirdžiai, kurie užsimano risotto; rudaplaukiai; buvusios žmonos.”

Džyz, aš dievinu Sue Townsend sąmojį. Štai tokia ta natūralioji atranka. Whahaha.

Tiesa, dar nesakiau, kad nusprendžiau nebepirkti rūbų parduotuvėse (nebent nebesveikas sale‘as). Ne rūbais meilę, juk lieti, o oda! Amen.

Skaitau G. G. Marquez

„But when a woman decides to sleep with a man, there is no wall she will not scale, no fortress she will not destroy, no moral consideration she will not ignore at its very root: there is no God worth worrying about.”

„My heart has more rooms in it than a whore house”

„If I knew that today would be the last time I’d see you, I would hug you tight and pray the Lord be the keeper of your soul. If I knew that this would be the last time you pass through this door, I’d embrace you, kiss you, and call you back for one more. If I knew that this would be the last time I would hear your voice, I’d take hold of each word to be able to hear it over and over again. If I knew this is the last time I see you, I’d tell you I love you, and would not just assume foolishly you know it already.”

„The world must be all fucked up,” he said then, „when men travel first class and literature goes as freight.”

„Don’t let yourself die without knowing the wonder of fucking with love.”

„Always tell what you feel. Do what you think.”

„Together they had overcome the daily incomprehension, the instantaneous hatred, the reciprocal nastiness, and fabulous flashes of glory in the conjugal conspiracy. It was time when they both loved each other best, without hurry or excess, when both were most conscious of and grateful for their incredible victories over adversity. Life would still present them with other moral trials, of course, but that no longer mattered: they were on the other shore.”

„One can be in love with several people at the same time, feel the sorrow with each, and not betray any of them.”

„She likes to try everything, out of curiosity, but she’ll be sorry if she isn’t guided by her heart.”

„Just because someone does not love you as you want, it does not mean that you do not love with all his being.”

Tiek daug mano minčių taip taikliai sukoncentruota į viena.

Beautiful Norma Jean

Niekada iki šiol neskaitinėjau nieko, ką buvo pasakiusi Marilyn Monroe, tik kadaise teko skaityti jos biografiją. O štai šiandien atradau visai neblogų jos pasisakymų. Here we go.

A career is wonderful, but you can’t curl up with it on a cold night.

I am not interested in money. I just want to be wonderful.

I don’t mind living in a man’s world as long as I can be a woman in it.

It’s better to be unhappy alone than unhappy with someone – so far.

I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. When it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I’m already better than them anyways.

A wise girl kisses but doesn’t love, listens but doesn’t believe, and leaves before she is left.

The real lover is the man who can thrill you by kissing your forehead or smiling into your eyes or just staring into space.

We should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. So are regrets.

Well behaved women rarely make history.

Life’s a beach, mažuliai. Beje, rytoj ryte man teikia diplomą.

(H. Wasmo)

Draugas sykį pasakė, kad Vilnius – gražus miestas, kuriame daug nelaimingų žmonių. Ir iš ties. Viskas lyg ir gerai. Tik. Tik kažkas ne taip.
